I'm afraid the Javier you're referring to is another one, :-) I've seen a more active Javier on the list. I participate way less since though I have years using/managing linux, I don't consider myself an expert, :-) I've always tried to bottom post in all lists I barely participate in (debian-user, arch-general, and several others)...
