Dear arch-general list subscribers, would someone here please be willing to help me a bit on configuring vmware-view (vmware-horizon-client in AUR)? In Windows I have a prefs.txt config like this: <?xml version="1.0"?> <Root> <RecentServer serverName="vmware.example.com" mruRSAUsername="rasmus" hasValidCert="true" lastLogInAsCurrentUser="false" localIMEEnable="false" serverGuid="12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789012" serverCacheDir="C:\Users\rasmus\AppData\Local\VMware\VMware Horizon View Client\App Cache\12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789012\"> <RecentDesktop desktopID="cn=theofficeoverthere-01,ou=applications,dc=vmware,dc=vmware,dc=int" connectUSBOnStartup="false" connectUSBOnInsert="false" resolutionWidth="0" resolutionHeight="0" remoteSystemDPI="0"> <LastMonitor monitorIndex="0"/> </RecentDesktop> <FileRedirection/> <ShortCuts/> <ShadowSettings FitToViewer="true"/> </RecentServer> <SecurityMode/> <LastLoginAsCurrentUser/> <BrokerJumpList> <BrokerJump BrokerName="vmware.example.com" BrokerArguments="vmware-view://vmware.example.com/?"/> </BrokerJumpList> <DesktopJumpList> <DesktopJump DesktopName="RemoteDesktop" DesktopArguments="vmware-view://@vmware.example.com/cn=theofficeoverthere-01,ou=applications,dc=vmware,dc=vmware,dc=int?&domainName=&desktopProtocol=BLAST&desktopLayout=multimonitor"/> </DesktopJumpList> <sharingList showPromptDlg="true" shareHomeDirectory="false" allowAccessRemovable="false"/> <GeolocationSharingSettings/> <BlastSettings/> </Root> When I try to connect like this vmware-view \ -q \ -s wmware.example.com \ -u rasmus \ -t rasmus \ -n "12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789012" I get the SMS and almost connect, but fail. I'm so close, yet so far away :-\ The same happens if I change -n "12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789012" to -n "cn=theofficeoverthere-01,ou=applications,dc=vmware,dc=vmware,dc=int" I have looked at the logs, and have a hunch I might also need to grab a certificate pair also from somewhere to somewhere, or perhaps this hunch is unfounded as I get to step to with the SMS there ... Perhaps someone here is familiar with this ... Rasmus
