Hello, If you believe there is something wrong with the package, then submit a bug for it and the bug wranglers will review it, and if it is valid assign it to the package maintainers. You can add the a bug via the "add bug" button on the web: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/kate/ Or you can create it directly naming the package in the bug creation, for example: [kate] Missing optional dependencies See: https://bugs.archlinux.org/ The maintainer *could* see this and act upon it, but it is more reliable (and also conventional) to simply submit a bug.
