[arch-general] Pacman update fails to commit transaction

I have my new system up and running and am delighted. However, when running packman -Syu to update, all appeared to be progressing well with all sorts of downloads happening but at the end the message says: Checking package integrity, checking for file conflicts, error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files).initscripts: /etc/profile.d/locale.sh exists in filesystem.
