This is mostly OK but not only users of DE's are affected. Its pretty much everyone but at least a mention on DM's should be added as well. And probably a mention on [0] as a solution for people not using one.

No, my blog post is a workaround for the current status quo. If "everyone" is going to need to do this, we may as well just modify our own shipped /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc as proprosed here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/32206 dave
