Hi,
On a current [testing] installation, there are several timer symlinks in /usr/lib/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants (shipped with logrotate, man-db, etc.). What is the reason for choosing multi-user.target instead of timers.target?
It makes no sense to run these timers in rescue mode. They are supposed to be run only during normal system operation, therefore they are required by multi-user.target. The timer's default dependencies however still require the timers to run before timers.target.
