Didn't you have an Error11 when attempting to start X? Maybe that's my imagination. If not, how did you fix it? I'm currently having this problem myself.
DrCR, I forgot one thing, Make sure you have *hal* installed and started. Also add 'hal' to your DEAMONS list in /etc/rc.conf so it starts at boot. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
