Furthermore, no application should ever be built with support for styluses because some applications have buggy stylus support and adding support for something I don't need is against the Arch Way(tm).
After all these replies I can see that there are very few and questionable technical reasons against DBus. There are just some pet peeves that can be avoided with a little common sense and good will, both things that we always think we have in excess and the others have in shortage.
