I have currently the same problem and have as the keyserver in the '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/gpg.conf' file the 'hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net'. This address can be pinged OK. Why it has ceased to work? Albert. On Fri, Feb 13, 2015 at 02:43:54PM +0100, Viktor Garske wrote:
[SOLUTION]
Okay, after I changed the keyserver line in /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/gpg.conf to hkp://pgp.mit.edu:11371 the refresh and upgrade worked.

Hello,
I've got a problem with pacman: when I try to upgrade the system pacman writes "key "A6234074498E9CEE" could not be looked up remotely".
Then I looked into this forum thread (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1501915#p1501915). I tried the workaround but "pacman-key --refresh-keys" returned (after a long time):
gpg: Refresh vom Schlüsselserver fehlgeschlagen: Dateiende ==> FEHLER: Ein spezifizierter lokaler Schlüssel konnte nicht vom Schlüssel-Server aktualisiert werden.
(it means:)
gpg: refresh failed from the key server: end of file ==> ERROR: a specified local key could not be refreshed by the key server.
Do you have any solutions?
