Yes mine too when I write $ echo $TZ returns blank .. but the main problem was to fix it from .muttrc . infos on archwiki i am sure that many wise men told rtfm / rtfw . i had to put set date_format="%y-%m-%d %T" set index_format="%2C | %Z [%d] %-30.30F (%-4.4c) %s" on muttrc . and now working absolutely fine . I am just shooting from the hip ...but have you specified the right timezone? If I do
$ echo $TZ
it returns "Europe/Copenhagen", which is right for me.
Hm, this returns a blank line for me. Since I'm happy with my timezone setting I got curious and checked the Wiki, which suggests timedatectl. This tool checks the current setting and you're able to change it: timedatectl status Local time: Di 2021-04-13 21:24:06 CEST Universal time: Di 2021-04-13 19:24:06 UTC RTC time: Di 2021-04-13 19:24:06 Time zone: Europe/Berlin (CEST, +0200) System clock synchronized: yes NTP service: active RTC in local TZ: no
