My guess is a full system update is needed. It looks like you pulled in readline-6 without updating bash.

I think you are correct as I havn't updated for a while and still use kde3. Can I roll back to readline-5.2-8-i686.pkg.tar.gz which I still have on my system somehow. I get circular problems saying error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: gnutls: requires readline>=6.0 :: libxml2: requires readline>=6.0 If I try to roll back the others, it won't work. Thanks
