Did you reinstall the package xz, just in case the error isn't caused by the package e2fsprogs, but something should be fishy with xz?
Hey, thanks for the fast response. Running on i686 so this should be 64 Bit. Unfortunately I can't install or reinstall anything at the moment as pacman crashes wit an error for a lock of the library libcom_err.so which is part of e2fsprogs.
