Hello everyone, since some days I am experiencing strange issues with my laptop headphone jack. When I boot into Windows 8.1, everything works as expected. No problems or cracking sounds. When I boot my Arch installation, it seems like everything breaks. My headphones randomly produce loud cracking sounds and when I manage to get something out of them, the sound is blurred and sounds disturbed. Searching the Asus FAQ's gave me: https://www.asus.com/en/support/FAQ/1009646 But I do not know how to check for these settings and wether this applies to me. Some system information: Hardware: Asus N550 JK Laptop uname -a: Konsole output Linux Goomba 4.0.1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 29 12:00:26 CEST 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linux pacman -Q alsa-utils: Konsole output alsa-utils 1.0.29-1 aplay -l : Konsole output **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: HDMI [HDA Intel HDMI], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: HDMI [HDA Intel HDMI], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: HDMI [HDA Intel HDMI], device 8: HDMI 2 [HDMI 2] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 1: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC668 Analog [ALC668 Analog] Subdevices: 0/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 Thank you in advance for advices.
