Ramdisk is mounted on /tmp, thus any file installed to it is lost after a reboot. --Oliver Temlin
Anyway, for a default Arch install after a reboot /tmp/ is cleaned and /tmp/ is for temporarily files, so nothing seriously can be installed to /tmp/.
I believe Oliver was pointing out that the packager has made a mistake when the file is installed to /tmp, not that /tmp is/is not transient (it's actually tmpfs, so it's not "cleaned" -- it's created on boot by systemd->tmp.mount). A bug report should be filed for that package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ce/celestia-addon-sun/PKGBUILD They're installing that JPG to /tmp/ for some odd reason, that's just wrong on any Linux distribution. $0.02, -te
