Hey Ralf, Comment in (#) all ISO-8859-1 locales and leave alone all UTF-8 locales, in /etc/locale.gen type LANG=en_US.UTF-8 as is and run sudo locale-gen , logout & login (kill X), then try running Claws. Cheers
