Guys,
I think the GTK update made the LibreOffice 'save' dialog 'document type' list box unreadable. Where you used to be able to read: "All Formats" "Open Document Text .odt" "Word 97 .doc", etc..., now the entire list is squished down into a 1/2 of screen space and is unreadable. Here is a screenshot:

This happened as a result of the updates this morning. The updates were:
[2011-08-31 10:13] Running 'pacman -Syu' [2011-08-31 10:13] synchronizing package lists [2011-08-31 10:13] starting full system upgrade [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded apache (2.2.19-1 -> 2.2.20-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded b43-fwcutter (014-1 -> 015-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded nss (3.12.11-1 -> 3.12.11-3) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded evolution-data-server (3.0.2.1-2 -> 3.0.3-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded gtkhtml4 (4.0.1-1 -> 4.0.2-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded evolution (3.0.2-1 -> 3.0.3-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded gtk-update-icon-cache (2.24.5-3 -> 2.24.6-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded gtk2 (2.24.5-3 -> 2.24.6-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded firefox (6.0-1 -> 6.0.1-1) [2011-08-31 10:27] upgraded linux-firmware (20110727-1 -> 20110822-1) [2011-08-31 10:28] >>> Updating module dependencies. The only update that looks relevant is: gtk2 (2.24.5-3 -> 2.24.6-1). Is anyone else seeing this? If so, any idea whether this is a GTK2 bug or a Libre bug? I'm just trying to figure out where this bug goes....

David, I also did these updates this morning (not xulrunner, playonlinux, evolution, fwcutter, nor apache) but do not see the problem you are reporting. The Save box in LibreOffice 3.4.2 is quite readable here. T.
