Deprecation of bind and dnsutils
I've just moved dnsutils to [extra] and orphaned it as well as bind. This announcement is postponed as long as somebody can manage to keep BIND alive...
Why not keep bind9? ... It has not been abandoned upstream and I see no conflicts between bind9 and bind10 - think gtk+2 and gtk+3 ... Both can exist on the same system, but I doubt that two bind daemons can run at the same time.

Feel free to keep it in the AUR when it gets dropped there. -- Gaetan

I want ifconfig back! I'll most likely be disapproved by the mod again, my point remains, arch is an early adopter/early deprecator distro. Let's keep it that way. Let's move forward, change stuff and use lighter solutions which are obviously out there. cheers! mar77i
