[arch-general] Not Enough Bandwidth
Hello folks . one of my rare visits to the mailing list I am having a small problem with my machine I recently Purchased an USB3 PCEe card with 2 usb3 ports on it 03:00.0 USB controller: NEC Corporation uPD720200 USB 3.0 Host Controller (rev 04) when i first installed this card it worked just fine then 2 days ago the Kernel was updated and i started getting [ 85.536166] usb 8-2: Not enough bandwidth for new device state. [ 85.537640] usb 8-2: Not enough bandwidth for altsetting 1 [ 85.537643] usb 8-2: 1:1: usb_set_interface failed (-28) i am using the new usb ports on 2 external usb sound cards Bus 008 Device 003: ID 0d8c:0102 C-Media Electronics, Inc. CM106 Like Sound Device Bus 008 Device 002: ID 0d8c:0102 C-Media Electronics, Inc. CM106 Like Sound Device Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub I have found that if i unplug the sound card plugged into Bus 008 Device 002 prior to starting KDE/Plasma i do not get the error if i switch the cards around it is still on the same port the machine is up to date updated every evening with "pacman -Syu" Linux ### 4.18.16-arch1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Oct 20 22:06:45 UTC 2018 x86_64 GNU/Linux it does not seem to effect the machine performance but just the sheer number of lines of it is alarming Ideas help please .
