[arch-general] Using timers instead of cron jobs
Hi, On a current [testing] installation, there are several timer symlinks in /usr/lib/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants (shipped with logrotate, man-db, etc.). What is the reason for choosing multi-user.target instead of timers.target? Thanks, -- Leonid Isaev GnuPG key fingerprint: C0DF 20D0 C075 C3F1 E1BE 775A A7AE F6CB 164B 5A6D

It makes no sense to run these timers in rescue mode. They are supposed to be run only during normal system operation, therefore they are required by multi-user.target. The timer's default dependencies however still require the timers to run before timers.target.
