[arch-general] Messages from fcron
I keep on getting messages from fcron along what can be found below. Does anyone know where I should look to fix this? /M -------- Original Message -------- Subject: fcron <systab@tatooine> /usr/sbin/run-cron /etc/cron.daily Date: Sun, 7 Mar 2010 08:58:09 +0000 From: <magnus.therning@ntlworld.com> To: magnus.therning@ntlworld.com error: syslog-ng:1 duplicate log entry for /var/log/crond.log error: found error in /var/log/messages.log /var/log/auth.log /var/log/mail.log /var/log/kernel.log /var/log/errors.log /var/log/daemon.log /var/log/user.log /var/log/iptables.log /var/log/everything.log /var/log/syslog.log /var/log/acpid.log /var/log/crond.log /var/log/lpr.log /var/log/uucp.log /var/log/news.log /var/log/ppp.log /var/log/debug.log , skipping

The syslog-ng (dcron uses syslog) package adds crond.log to it's logrotate config file and the fcron package has it's own logrotate config which also adds crond.log because both daemons use the same logfile. Either remove the /etc/logrotate.d/fcron or remove the crond.log from the list in /etc/logrotate.d/syslog-ng. -- Florian Pritz -- {flo,bluewind}@server-speed.net
