Re: Audio distortion after latest upgrades

Hello, Quick question, why you asking Arch Linux about this when you clearly state on the bug report that you are using NixOS? Thank you, -- Polarian GPG signature: 0770E5312238C760 Website: https://polarian.dev JID/XMPP: polarian@polarian.dev
Because this wasn't meant to be a new post but a reply to a previous thread... This one: https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/arch-general@lists.archlinux.org/t... I didn't manage to reply properly, I haven't interacted with mailing lists before. The OP of that thread is the only person I have seen with the same issue as me as I searched everywhere online, so I wanted to see if he could help with the reporting in case a kernel maintainer asks for help.

It's possible this might also be an issue with pipewire. I found these 2 bug reports on the pipewire bug tracker: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/3098 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/3309 But it could be a kernel issue too. On Friday when I booted into the LTS kernel (6.1) I didn't experience the issue. Need to do more debugging / wait for more feedback from other people before I can say for sure where the problem lies. DR
I'm quite sure it's the kernel, because I can only reproduce it on kernel 6.4.1 while gaming (NFS Rivals)
