Hello, LXDE is one of the most mentioned DEs on german forum, so there also should be some users (not me). Why do you ask? Regards Stefan

I have used xfce in the past and currently use LXDE when I don't feel like dealing with a tiling window manager. When compared to gnome or KDE, both are lightweight, but xfce does a little more "out of the box". With LXDE, i had to perform more configuration to get it running as smoothly as xfce. However, i would recommend giving them both a try and keep the one you like best. Regards, Marq

Yes, not active at the moment because i want to give kde4 a longer try. But before stepping from kde3 to kde4 i config LXDE to have something in the backhand. It is fast, it is great and i'm missing only little things. The wiki from archlinux says the most to get it run and it is absolute painless to give it a try. There is a blog (http://blog.lxde.org/) which has nice informations about it too. See you, Attila

Done test builds with both, my wife is currently using a slightly modified version of XFCE, LXDE is prettier out of the box but harder to configure. XFCE isn't pretty at all out of the box, but is much easier to configure, has more options, and can be made pretty enough relatively easily. If you want a floating window manager, I still recommend Openbox. Welcome to Arch, and the forums generally get more replies to questions (and many questions are already answered there).
Does anyone have installed LXDE on Arch Linux? Don't get me wrong, but these questions had been answered 1000 times in different forums. There is even an Arch wiki page on the lxde site. Please do a little research ... This is a mailing list for (technical) issues with Arch, so please keep
