Is this already being worked on, or should I open a bug? If so, against which package, libdrm or xf86-video-nouveau?

You need to upgrade and rebuild both xf86-video-nouveau and nouveau-drm. File a bug against these two packages requesting a rebuild bump.

I've done my own bumps for these packages and made the results publicly available at http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~rjkohler/ (see the FS bug for more details). Hopefully this will help get the official packages updated sooner.
