[arch-general] Arch listed as option in virtualbox
Looks like Arch is now listed as an "OS type" choice in virtualbox. Cool! (Maybe it was already; I just noticed it today though.) DR
I am happy for that too! :D On Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 5:10 PM, David Rosenstrauch <darose@darose.net> wrote:

But you still have to use ide-legacy to use Arch in Virtualbox.. :P I was just installing an Arch box in Virtualbox on my MBP.. Second installation though since I didn't know about ide-legacy.. Alper KANAT http://raptiye.org Gustavo A. Gómez Farhat yazmış:

yeah I noticed that when 1.6 came out. I just wonder what the tech facts behind it are.

I am not sure there are any. Besides, Arch currently does not work as a VirtualBox guest because of some problems with 2.6.26 : http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11141 Otherwise, I didn't have to use ide legacy either.

Well, looks like at the very least they use the Arch logo as the VM's icon, which is kinda cool. DR
