Re: [arch-general] Key not working
Yes, the others work. I just plugged a keyboard in and the arrow works. That seems to suggest a laptop hardware problem, right? <div>-------- Original message --------</div><div>From: Ben Oliver <benoliver999@gmail.com> </div><div>Date:09/12/2015 15:15 (GMT+01:00) </div><div>To: General Discussion about Arch Linux <arch-general@archlinux.org> </div><div>Subject: Re: [arch-general] Key not working </div><div> </div>On 9 Dec 2015 2:12 pm, "Peter O'Doherty" <mail@peterodoherty.net> wrote:
Hi, I've just done a new arch install on my Dell laptop and have noticed that
the right arrow isn't working. And showkeys doesn't respond to the key being pressed. Is there anything else I can try before assuming it's a hardware problem?

I would rule out hardware before digging too deep. Do the other arrows work? Do you have a keyboard you can plug in?

I'm far from an expert but that would be my conclusion, yes. Try Ivan's suggestion too, just in case.
