Re: [arch-general] [arch-dev-public] libnl 2.0 rebuild
In reference to the below:- [testing] is still 'safe' for those using networkmanager? In my understanding libnl1 would work like libpng12 from the AUR so it shouldn't stop working, is that correct? On Sun, 2011-01-16 at 15:18 +0100, Thomas Bächler wrote:
I am uploading i686 packages for the following to testing: - libnl - iw - crda - wpa_supplicant - libpcap (with upstream patch) - net-snmp (my own patch)
Jan Steffens is trying to fix networkmanager, but this is HUGE.
- hostapd is easy, just need an option for libnl2 in .config (see SVN for wpa_supplicant) - kismet looks easy enough to fix - I forgot about libvirt, but iirc it wasn't that hard - No idea about knemo - simh shouldn't even link to libnl, no idea why it does.

What I wrote was wrong, I pushed those packages to staging, not to testing.

A libnl1 package wouldn't work, as there is no way to build against libnl1 while having both libnl1 and 2 installed. I am unsure what we'll do here.
