[arch-general] Mutt client-Message from Gateway
Dear list, as some of you strongly advise me, I finally set up Mutt as my mail client. I set up with a gmail account, offlineimap and msmtp. Even if I don't maximise the beast, everything works fine. I still have one issue when sending or replying to this list. After my sent, I recieved immediatly a mail FROM: Gateway SUBJECT: NDN BODY : Your message couldn't be delivered to: kingeryj,Firstclass(The name was not found on the remote site). Any idea what could be wrong in my configuration? Or maybe just an invalid adress in the list? Thank You for help. Regards

If this is not reproducible, you can bet for the latter. -- Nicolas Sebrecht

I can confirm it only happens with this list. Other lists or private mail don't return me such mail. Regards.

Please find attached all my config files. I am far from being a computer expert, and I tried to write them by my own, avoiding a simple copy/paste from some examples found on internet. My overall Mutt works, but my config files are maybe corrupted! Thank you Nicolas for your help. Regards.

Do you realize that you have just publicly posted your GMail account name and password? I suggest you change it quickly.... Dan ---- Dan Vratil www.progdan.cz IM: progdan@jabber.cz

First of all, as Dan said, change your account password if not already done. Please, check that when responding to this list, you don't have a strange destination in the headers (to, cc, bcc). You use a pretty complex system for your mails. Don't worry, I have almost the same, here (mutt + offlineimap + vim). I couldn't find any strong breackage in the configuration files but I'm lost with your configuration: - is it intended that you configure mutt to both connect as IMAP and a local Maildir synced with offlineimap? - why use msmtp if you configure mutt SMTP? -- Nicolas Sebrecht

I changed my password quite rapidly. I was so stupid. Gmail messaged me about two suspicious connections! it seems some bots are working hard. Now about my mutt config, I did this whole set up just to learn, nothing else. My configuration is attended as described in 1. Following your remark, I removed the line <set smtp_url> in my gmail.muttrc and did some cleaning on my headers list. I will see if this message still persists. TY for your remarks.
