XMPP support for Arch Linux
Hello,
So currently there is two methods (which I know of) with communicating with the Arch Community, those are email (mailing list) and IRC (I believe on libera.chat?!?!?).
Is there any plans to support XMPP?

You missed one: Matrix (#archlinux:archlinux.org). I think it can be seen as a spiritual successor to XMPP.

Moreover, you could create a space in #archlinux:archlinux.org and put in it both the new Archlinux Matrix channels that you want to create and the IRC channels using Matrix integrations.
In fact I volunteer to lend a hand and set up the Matrix server under the archlinux.org domain. It can be done initially with Conduit [1][2], a very lightweight and low-maintenance server.

You seem to have misunderstood xiretza. The channel already exists [1] and is mentioned in the wiki [2]. Currently, matrix.archlinux.org is set up with synapse [3], a space [4] and an offtopic channel [5] are available well.

Is #archlinux:archlinux.org just an alias for #archlinux:matrix.org? matrix.org rooms can also be reached via XMPP.

No. #archlinux:archlinux.org is just an example of what the main Arch Linux space could be called. As far as I know #archlinux:matrix.org exists but it is not considered an official channel by the Arch Linux people.
