DMARC report generator now in AUR - (was dmarc failures)
Continuing the spirit of giving back to the community, I have uploaded my "dmarc_report" tool to github [1] and the aur [2]. Code is written in python and source is on github. It generates a human readable dmarc report from 1 or more of the standard dmarc xml email reports (plain or zip/gzip compressed). Way I use it is: in thunderbird I select all the email reports and bulk save them to a directory. I then use a ripMIME to pull the xml reports out of the saved email files. With all the compressed xml files in one directory I just run report tool in same directory. Then just run: dmarc-rpt Hope others find it useful too. best gene [1] https://github.com/gene-git/dmarc_report [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dmarc_report

Just FYI - I enhanced the tool so that it can extract mime email attachments. So now its even easier to use. You no longer need to save the attachmed compressed xml report files, it does that automatically now. Select all the report files in mail client - save them all to a directory as saved emails (.eml file) and then and run dmarc-rpt on that. It will extract all the (compressed) dmarc reports and process them. gene
