Been having this problem for a while now, even converted the system to systemd in the hope that it would go away. Hi, Do you only get this error with this particular package, or with extra-x86_64-build in general? Submitting this as a "support request" for the devtools package may work out. Best regards, Alexander Rødseth

AFAIK, it happens with every package, and it also happens with the sister scripts like extra-i686-build. -- Joakim

What is the mirror at the top of your /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist?

And that correctly ends up in the mirrorlist file in the created chroot?

Well... we have located the bug then. Can you post your mirrorlist file so we can see where it is failing at extracting this. Allan

What is the mirror at the top of your /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist?
Server = http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/linux/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch
And that correctly ends up in the mirrorlist file in the created chroot?
No :(

I doubt that it's the mirrorlist file, but for what it's worth: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/879835/mirrorlist -- Joakim

Actually the mirrorlist never gets copied to the chroot. jack@tor /home/jack $ cat /var/lib/archbuild/extra-x86_64/root/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist Server = -- Joakim

Have you tried recreating the chroot (by just deleting /var/lib/archbuild)? -- GPG/PGP ID: C0711BF1

Sure, most of the times testing I've done: extra-x86_64-build -c, but it also happens when manually deleted. - Joakim
Hi, Please open a new bug report for devtools and include the steps needed to reproduce this, then we can see if someone are able to reproduce the issue. Thanks. - Alexander

Heh, I need to wipe some eggs off my face.. Digging in mkarchroot led me to discover that pacman -Sddp extra/devtools, returned nothing. Pierres on irc helped me realize that having IgnorePkg = devtools in pacman.conf has this effect... Added that just before it broke, when an older version of devtools was the only one working on my non systemd system. devtools are now working fine again. Thanks for the help everyone! -- Joakim
