[arch-general] Warning: dbmail is broken
Hi, dbmail package built with old gmime and broken with last update. It does not compile with current gmime, so do not wait update soon. Please keep old gmime. I do not want to put old gmime to community. Also any links and patches appreciated)
Considering gmime is required by tomboy, which is in the new batch of gnome 2.28 updates, won't downgrading gmime require some downgrading of other Gnome packages (specifically tomboy, if not others)? On Tue, 2009-10-13 at 00:16 +0400, Sergej Pupykin wrote:

It is not problem. I do not think that someone have installed dbmail and gnome on the same computer. Ng Oon-Ee wrote:

Please don't top-post. What you're suggesting WILL affect all gnome users, even if they don't have dbmail installed. Simple stop-gap is for dbmail's depends to be on that particular version of gmime. Or put that version in community.

Why all? I do not suggest to downgrade gmime in repos. I just warn users who use dbmail to prevent upgrading of gmime package. I work on dbmail and I think it will be done soon.

My bad then. I understood from your OP that you were requesting a downgrade. Sorry.
