Yeah, we know already, see Ralf's mail. But since this wasn't the first time this has happened, perhaps one of us Claws users should have opened a bug report about it. And perhaps "flow" could try using UTF-8 next time, for a change. As for the original issue: No idea, but Google is full of similar issues for "crda" and "country 97". And I don't think this is going any further unless you tell exactly what wifi adapter you have (from dmesg and/or lspci), what's the access point, where you purchased both, what band (2,4/5 GHz) and channel you have configured, and what the country setting should be (one mail you wrote "JP", the next it was "US"). I'd strongly suggest you go over https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_network_configuration#Respecti... and perhaps try the part about setting the country via cfg80211 options in modprobe.conf. You can't suppress the logging with journald. --byte

I've just repeat all these steps. It is hard to guess why, but now problem has gone. Since this is an Archlinux mailinglist; a 'simple' pacman -Syu might be enough. If there are too many errors or problems it's perhaps better to "start over". ;) But now we're going offtopic. Mvg, Guus

Trying to be offensive are we ...cus you are getting close i tell you. Yes it is connected it is a laptop it works very well thank you yes it could do with updating BUT it just works , and i have ZERO intention of putting a fully working machine at risk right now by updating it maybe if you have a spare 300gb 2.5 inch drive you dont need you could donate it could be used to rebuild the system but till i got funds to waste forget it . A working machine is not the same as a secure machine, so unless you do not care at all if that machine is compromised then yes you should be updating it. ;) And you have used that machine *at least* for your email account -- which I assume is something you care about. Why do you need donations for a 300GB HDD? You can rebuild a system using a 700 MB CD-ROM (but a flashdrive is preferable for speed, of course). The Arch installer is not 300 GB. Any data that needs migration can be moved to a staging folder. It doesn't need its own hard drive. -- Eli Schwartz
