Having trouble with this kernel as well. After about 5 mins the system freezes and only hard reset is possible. Downgraded to 4.12.13 KR Frank
I note that there are some atheros (and intel) wifi fixes in 4.13.4 which you can try from testing repo. I think original poster may be using Ath based on the logs. Don't know if it addresses this (these) particular issue(s). Are you also using Ath by any chance? -- Gene lists@sapience.com

Might not be directly related, but I bought a TP-Link AC600 USB wifi adapter and it just doesn't work with the latest kernel. It uses the MT7610u chip from MediaTech. Most drivers on the AUR or on github did nothing. With one driver I was able to list the device with $ ip link but after using $ wifi-menu {device-name} the laptop would freeze and a hard reset was required. After a bit of googling I figured it's a problem with the > 4.8 kernel. I wish I knew more about the kernel so I could assist, but this has to wait.
I've had some issues with a Compex WLE600NX 802.11ac / a/b/g/n miniPCI express radio card from 4.12 onwards. The firmware fails to load for the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9882 chip. Switched to an Intel Wireless 7260 miniPCIe card, but that also has a driver, that crashes repeatedly (at least it works in between and doesn't take the system with it when crashing or prevents me from upgrading the kernel). Seems it's not so easy to find stable hardware these days :P -- https://sleepmap.de

Same for me on my old T410. Also fixed it with downgrade. Happy i'm not the only one ;-) Greetings Thomas

No, waiting for it to appear in core.

So this kernel does not provide an improvement

I too am noticing a new error on boot that has not appeared before: Oct 04 14:28:43 phoinix kernel: print_req_error: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 Oct 04 14:28:43 phoinix kernel: floppy: error 10 while reading block 0 Oct 04 14:28:43 phoinix kernel: print_req_error: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 Oct 04 14:28:43 phoinix kernel: floppy: error 10 while reading block 0 Not sure why the error is thrown, I can still mount read/write from the drive after the boot is complete. Not sure if this is related, but it's worth adding to the pile. I'll check whether it is fixed when 4.13.4 comes out. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

I was about to file a bug repoort when I came upon this one: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/55629?string=kernel&project=1&type[0]=& sev[0]=&pri[0]=&due[0]=&reported[0]=&cat[0]=&status[0]=open&percent[0]= &opened=&dev=&closed=&duedatefrom=&duedateto=&changedfrom=&changedto=&o penedfrom=&openedto=&closedfrom=&closedto= So looks as if it's related to i915 video driver (at least for me) since the proposed workaround to add intel_iommu=igfx_off to /etc/default/grub works for me.
