[arch-general] Opera Segfaults on x86_64 after kernel update
Listmates, After the kernel update to kernel26 2.6.29.3-1, opera is segfaulting for some reason. Opera doesn't event splash anything on the screen, it just dies. Here is what I get from the cli: 23:28 alchemy:~> opera -debugxerror opera: X Error: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter) 5 Major opcode: 20 Minor opcode: 0 Resource id: 0 I have no idea what a BadAtom is or if that is the problem. I haven't run across anything else in the past hour since the update. What should I check? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. I have some additional information from the log file: May 11 23:37:42 alchemy kernel: opera[4657]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f0c25c36719 sp 00007fff2fabd710 error 4 in libstdc++.so.6.0.11[7f0c25b72000+f1000] -- David C. Afaik, an Atom is an erlang term for variable without content. Usefull for error or message code. But I doen't know if opera is using erlang, or for other stuff called atom.
