Hi, I cannot access (timeout) any archlinux web site except AUR. Am I alone to have this problem? Regards, -- Cédric Girard

The mailinglist was down also, so reporting it here doesn't help that much.

In this case, we had a downtime of less than 10 minutes (about 12 hours before that email was received). Maybe the consensus is to wait for an hour before posting. Chances are we already know it's down.

THE WEBSITE IS DOWN! ugh, it's like a reoccuring waking nightmare. the other day i had to make a small change to our mail server, and it was was down for probably 15 seconds ... but nowadays people have fancy phones that check in every 5 minutes multiplied by hundreds of clients ... ... so they get a nice little dialog on their phone about `unable to connect` or some shizwat like that and , gee, since they have a phone, they call me up before waiting 2 minutes for the connection to reestablish, or !@# forbid trying again :-) heh OT, but this thread made me laugh. Well, I was actually submitting a comment to a bug when the site went down. This is why I noticed it and decided to ask on the ML if it was really down or if it was my corporate network that had again some trouble. I understand I should have waited more before reacting and did apologize for that. What else do you want? IMHO this thread should just have been left dead after my second mail as useless thread usually are. No need to add extra noise to it. -- Cédric Girard

? uhm, nothing? i could care less whether you reported it or not ... was only adding a humorous experience to it. but hey, i'm a developer not a comedian, i don't claim to ever succeed at the task.

Not to add more noise, but for a quick easy check, try using: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ It will tell you quickly if it is your network or the site. -Adam
