Hello all,
Thing is: I live in Brazil, here laptops are way overpriced and I have a friend who's going to US next month and said he could buy me a laptop. I started searching websites of a few stores I knew and eventually found a one that I immediately fell in love with: Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 4189-2DU

So I was wondering if any of you has one, or has another Lenovo laptop and your opinions about it. I plan on using it with arch only.
Thank you!
Best regards,

I use 14" ThinkPad R61 (T9300 @ 2.50GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB 7200rpm HDD) with Arch only and very happy with it.
Everything works fine (I haven't tested the bluetooth much, though) and I didn't need any tricks to install anything.
Cheers, Sergey

I use a 14,1 Thinkpad T61 (T7500@2,2GHz, 2GiB Ram, 500GiB hdd, nvidia quadro nvs 140m) everything works ootb, bluetooth included. It just consumes around 10-11Watts under Arch at lowest power settings and it makes no trouble.I can just recommend buying lenovo stuff.

I use a compaq F733 laptop(I think that model does not ship anymore. Bought last april). It has nvidia graphics.
Everything works except certain combination of kernel/nvidia keep breaking suspend. Somewhere since last oct to this april, I had to shutdown/reboot the laptop(no problem, except time wasted.) Now with 2.6.30, suspend/resume is working fine. Lets see what 2.6.32 brings :)
And yes, it is exclusively arch and my work machine. I depend upon it.
Thanks, guys! I'll go for it, then. =]
