knotes missing after upgrade
Hello, After today's upgrade, package knotes is not in the repositories. 'pacman -Q knotes' gives 'knotes 24.05.2-1', the previously installed package that fails to load. Other KDE packages like kontact have version '24.08.0-1'. 'pacman -S knotes' gives nothing. Is it dropped upstream or in Arch (both doubtful)? Has it been renamed? Thank you for any input.

It seems like the package has been dropped: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/state/-/commit/e5765b0d4236... But I don't have any further information on the why, the maintainer that did the changes maintains KDE (together with other people) and usually just drops stuff when it's discontinued by upstream, so that is maybe something that you could look into a bit further .. You can still find it's packaging repository here if you want to build it yourself: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/knotes
Thank you for any input.
Cheers, gromit

It looks like upstream repo is archived, so that might be it: https://invent.kde.org/pim/knotes

Thank you for your comprehensive replies and hints. I'll try to build it as long as it builds and look for another note taking solution. Regards. P.S: your replies did not reach my mailbox, found them on the web interface, that's another topic.
I need to dig deeper on it, but likely kalarm had the same fate... Today I woke up later since my laptop alarm was never triggered. Then I checked and kalarm didn't launch properly. Up to Thursday I'll be away from home without my laptop, but after that I'll check and fill a bug report in case it wasn't dropped.
