1) No documentation for pacman --ask option 2) pacman gitlab page refers to a 404
1) Any point opening a bug about pacman --ask option not documented? [https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=35901](https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=35901) is from 2007. 2) Quoting https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/pacman Please also check open issues in our [historical bug tracker](https://bugs.archlinux.org/index.php?project=3) before opening a new issue here. Shouldn't the url point to the new archive? -- u34

No, this is very much wanted this way, see for example one of the Maintainers comments here: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/pacman/-/issues/60#note_131515

Yes, this is outdated as the bugtracker currently is a static site and not easily searchable as the builtin search function has been remove when the site was made static. I have created [a searchable version][0] some time ago which you can access via GitLab for the Bug Wrangler team. Pacman itself is also aware of any leftover open bugs on the old bugtracker, feel free to check the [related issue][1] and help out there! I came across --ask at devtools-1:1.2.0-1: $ grep -ne --ask /usr/bin/makechrootpkg ~ 152: pacman -U --noconfirm --ask=4 -- "${pkgnames[@]/#//root/}" In view of https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/pacman/-/issues/60#note_131515, should makechrootpkg be modified? --ask was not used in prevoius versions of makechrootpkg - at least not the vesrions from the stable repository.

Thank you. Perhaps https://gitlab.archlinux.org/pacman/pacman should use your links instead of [historical bug tracker](https://bugs.archlinux.org/index.php?project=3)? -- u34
