[arch-general] Should outdated changelogs be removed from the packages?
Should outdated changelogs be removed from the packages? I'm guessing that this was the reason for removing the changelog from parcelite: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/37105 https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/community.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/parcellite&id=0fbf9f05e92ec7960a5ab40add6771a11514d267 htop's changelog has been removed earlier: https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/htop&id=831af31bc6ee1124c6063b52192ea0e74386ac56 even though it wasn't outdated, probably because the maintainer didn't want to maintain it anymore.

Should outdated changelogs be removed from the packages?
Yes. No information is always better than inaccurate information. Unless the maintainers of those packages wishes to clearly mark their changelogs as outdated and keep them for historical purposes, they should be removed. -- Gaetan
