[arch-general] gnome-subtitles
Hello, archers, I really like gnome-subtitles and the AUR package [1] is out-of-date. I went to the project homepage and found out that Arch Linux has currently been added gnome-subtitles to the official repositories [2]. The thing is: pacman -S gnome-subtitles won't install it. I use only [core], [extra] and [community] repositories. I don't know what's happening: is that an issue in my Linux box (that is: does anyone else have this problem?) or gnome-subtitles isn't really in the official repositories? If it is not, I am going to learn how to create a PKGBUILD and submit it to AUR. No-one was maintaining it in [community] so it was dropped back to the AUR. It has been out-of-date for a long time so I guess a TU can orphan it to allow someone else to update it. Allan

I have a working PKGBUILD. It was very straightforward to write, since there is no need for patches and whatnot at this version of gnome-subtitles. I'm going to ask a TU in aur-general to orphan the package so I can upload my PKGBUILD. -- Rafael Beraldo http://cabaladada.org
