 My comment was just:

  Since kernel modules could go from /lib/modules to /usr/lib/modules, they would need support from tools such as kmod etc .. I don't think we're even going down this road yet- the only /lib manipulation we would do at this point is actual libraries, not kernel modules or the dynamic linker.
