[arch-general] fontconfig: 99pdftoopvp.conf
i've read in announcements and arch-dev-public that /etc/fonts/conf.d is supposed to contain only links now. being lazy i used "pacman -Sy --force fontconfig" instead of manually deleting the existing files, and i find that the package 99pdftoopvp.conf remains as a real file. i found that it belongs to cups-filters, which installs it into /etc/fonts/conf.d directly, apparently. am i supposed to do anything about this, or just leave it there? -- phani.

Leave it there. In that directory will probably sit more files owned by other (font) packages. Don't mess with them! -Andy
I wasn't lazy and followed the guidelines ;-) But I also noticed that 99pdftoopvp.conf was sitting in /etc/fonts/conf.d/ without being a simlink. The file belongs to cups-filters [extra] and I assume upstream is not following the guidelines: put the file in /etc/fonts/conf.avail/ and than simlink to conf.d when required. I've created a bug report upstream: https://bugs.linuxfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1066 Regards, David On 6 September 2012 17:21, Andreas Radke <andyrtr@archlinux.org> wrote:
