[arch-general] i686 version of arch
I see that the i686 version of arch only sees 3.25G of the 8G installed. Does the i686 kernel support PAE? I have not gotten to install X86_64 but I am working on it

No it does not, but you can rebuild it yourself using ABS. Allan

OK
you can also run a 64bit kernel in a 32bit userland, as long as your hardware supports 64bit.

Baho, If you are successful with building the kernel with PAE, it would be useful if you could add the way you did it to the Arch wiki at: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Custom_Kernel_Compilation_with_ABS I will need that information to when I dump a couple of suse 10.3 installs on i686 boxes with 4G of RAM. -- David C. OK, I will try after I get my new machine fully configured
