Hello, OSS Mirror mirror.qctronics.com will enter scheduled maintenance on Saturday, Februrary 8th at ~14:00 EST. During the maintenance, the rsync service will be unavailable and while the https service will remain operational, the downloads will be slower than usual. We have deployed a third server to improve capacity and this server will remain online while we perform the maintenance on the main servers, but download speeds will be slower than usual (according to our tests, it will be ~500 MBPS to 1 GBPS instead of the usual 3 GBPS) The maintenance aims to improve uptime and performance, since we have dead drives in our ZFS arrays that we need to replace along with standard maintenance (dusting, etc.). -FF QCTronics Administrator / Administrateur de QCTronics *This email is used by multiple people from QCTronics. *Ce courriel est utilisé par plusieurs personnes travaillant pour QCTronics.

critical rsync security release 3.4.0

We’d like to raise awareness about the rsync security release version 3.4.0-1 as described in our advisory ASA-202501-1. In the most severe CVE, an attacker only requires anonymous read access to a rsync server, such as a public mirror, to execute arbitrary code on the machine the server is running on. Additionally, attackers can take control of a malicious server and read/write arbitrary files of any connected client. Sensitive data, such as OpenPGP and SSH keys, can be extracted, and malicious code can be executed by overwriting files such as ~/.bashrc or ~/.popt. We highly advise anyone who runs an rsync daemon or client prior to 3.3.1-1 to upgrade and reboot their systems immediately. As Arch Linux mirrors are mostly synchronized using rsync, we highly advise any mirror administrator to act immediately, even though the packages themselves are cryptographically signed. On Arch Linux infrastructure side we have secured all our affected servers and mirrors.

Hello, could you please remove my mirror "mirror.gnomus.de" (https://archlinux.org/mirrors/gnomus.de/603/) from the Mirrorlist? The Server that I used to Host it is not available anymore and I don't have access to a suitable Replacement. greetings and thanks in advance gnomus

mirror.jingk.ai suffered a disk failure and was out of sync for awhile while I ordered some hardware and got things back in shape. The mirror is back online and in sync again. Jingkai.
