OSS Mirror mirror.qctronics.com will enter maintenance tonight to upgrade networking equipment and enhance performance & reliabillity.

The https mirror will remain online during the maintenance but with degraded performance.

The rsync mirror will be offline during part the maintenance.

The maintenance is scheduled to begin at ~19:00 EDT and finish at ~23:00 EDT.

Changes to the mirror:

Available WAN bandwidth upgrade (1 GBPS -> 3 GBPS);

Available LAN bandwidth upgrade (1 GBPS -> 10 GBPS), allows for internal transfers to have a smaller impact on WAN traffic;

Newer network switch is gonna be installed (more reliabillity);

Servers are gonna be stripped of their DEs, which will increase available ressources (better performance & reliabillity).
