I have officially closed the HTTP port (which was just a redirect to HTTPS anyway). I previously said I would close it on April 8, 2025 or when pacman-mirrorlist got an update removing the HTTP endpoint, whichever happened later. April 8, 2025 happened later. It's just a coincidence that it's being closed on the 1 year anniversary of the 2024 solar eclipse. The closure date is just 60 days after the endpoint got removed from the mirror status page.
