I just wanted to say hi to this list :D
We have not changed anything for a long time on our mirror since everything is working fine but as far as I see there have been serveral changes. I use the old mirroring scheme and afaik I sync directly from the main rsync machine. Do I need to change this or do only new mirrors need to use the new scheme?

Hi!
Yes, the old mirrors are being migrated to the new scheme too. Please see http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DeveloperWiki:NewMirrors for the list of tier 1 mirrors and recommended rsync options. Please specify what mirror you are admin of, and let us know what tier 1 mirror you will use, so the db can be updated.

Uhm yeah, it would've been nice if this had been communicated, this list is a start but I for example would have never heard of it if `Bluewind' hadn't told me.
Following the new system I'm going to sync from `gwdg.de', the mirror is `mirror.selfnet.de'.
