[arch-mirrors] lug.mtu.edu not updating properly
I run a local mirror for a university off of the lug.mtu.edu tier 1 mirror and noticed that it's multilib database hasn't been updated since 2019/03/31. There seems to be other issues as well. You can see the issue here: http://mirrors.lug.mtu.edu/archlinux/multilib/os/x86_64/ compared to a working mirror: https://mirrors.rit.edu/archlinux/multilib/os/x86_64/ The mirror seems to be downloading new packages but it is also keeping old packages (or possibly just broken symlinks?) and not updating their database files. I'm not sure what is wrong exactly, if their rsync config was changed, etc but it seems currently the mirror is broken/out-of-sync. I've sent an email to the mirror operator directly but I wanted to also inform the mailing list in case any tier 2 mirrors are using this mirror. - Josh Hoffer

Thanks for the notification. Since this still appears to be broken I've also sent them a mail myself. I'm not sure where you sent your mail or what happened with it. If you notice similar mirror issues in the future, it's probably better if you notify us instead and let us contact the mirror admins. We can use our @archlinux.org email addresses and I've heard that this significantly reduces friction and increases the chance for issues to get fixed (quickly). I've never tried contacting them from my personal email though so this is only based on hearsay from previous Arch Linux mirror staff. Florian

There appear to be some network issues during synchronisation of ISOs which prevented the rest of the rsync command from completing. ISOs are excluded from the sync for now until the problem can be resolved. Except for the (missing) ./iso directory, the mirror should be properly synced now. If anyone notices any further issues, please tell us. Florian
