How to update the details on https://archlinux.org/mirrors/
Hello, the pacman-mirrorlist team decided to remove http mirrors from the default mirrorlist. see: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/pacman-mirrorlist/... They use a script that queries: https://archlinux.org/mirrorlist/?country=all. After their change we figured out, that our server ftp.tu-chemnitz.de was removed from the default pacman-mirrorlist like other servers. I verified all changes and figured out, that 50 http-mirrors also offers https but the information on the website seems to be outdated. So, my question: how can we update the mirror details? best regards -- FTP Server Administration Universitätsrechenzentrum Technische Universität Chemnitz Straße der Nationen 62 09126 Chemnitz Germany Fax: +49 371 531-835806 ftpadm@hrz.tu-chemnitz.de www.tu-chemnitz.de

Hi, there are several reasons to this: 1. Arch mirrorlist team forgot to add it when submitted 2. The person submitting it forgot or did not want to include it 3. Later implemented and not communicated to Arch mirrorlist team For now, we do not automatically add https if it is on the server but not offered to the list via submission. If HTTPS breaks on their end and they get emails from us that they should fix it, it does not make sense really. We could ask them instead to add them if we can enable them, that could be an option. If you wish for us to add your as https let us know. Just to note, people will still fetch your mirror via reflector tool if they do not filter out https. Unsure if its by default on archiso. Regards, Arun
Hi Arun, please update add https to our entry in mirrorlist. #Server = http://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch #Server = https://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch best regards Patrick Am 20.02.26 um 17:01 schrieb Arun Bahl:

Hi, mirror details have been updated, https://archlinux.org/mirrors/tu-chemnitz.de/, added your HTTPS URL. It will appear in the pacman-mirorrlist package on the next package update. Best regard, Arun On 2/25/26 11:39 AM, FTP-Adminstrator wrote:
