Great. I'll look into the possibility of adding my machine to the farm. Now, does pacbuild require a separate partition for the chroot or can it just dump the necessary files into a directory?

You don't even have to have them installed on the system. Pacbuild
will install them in the chroot when it needs them (because packages
have makedepends on them).
